Nov 2nd (WED) 7:00- 9:00 OLD TIME JAM
with JOANNE PONTRELLO
November marks one year anniversary of the Old Time Jam at Quimper Grange so here's is a big thank to players and jam leaders who have made it such a success!
This month Joanne Pontrello will lead the Quimper Grange Old Time Jam; she's planning to play several waltzes including
the first tune of the evening, Leland Waltz, which will be broken down for people to learn. The two keys we will be playing in are A and D.
Joanne plays for square dances and is a charismatic and popular caller. Last year she instigated the non-stop square dance that was the Quimper Grange entry in the Rhododendron Festival parade.
Doors will open at 6:45 and as usual a $1-$2 donation is requested to help pay for lights and heat. Snacks to share (like cookies) are appreciated.

Building Community With Live Music
October got off to an exciting start with a concert by multi-instrumentalist Bruce Molsky. Earlier in the day Bruce taught a fiddle workshop. Then only two days later Frank Blade presented an Old Time guitar backup workshop and then led the regularly scheduled Old Time jam in the evening.

These events along with live music played at the square and contra dances made October one of the most musical months ever at the Quimper Grange hall.
Concerts, dances, music workshops and the Old Time jam are ways that Quimper Grange helps create a vibrant live music and dance community.
Fall in the Food Bank Garden Garden
and Grounds Update
The food bank garden at Quimper Grange is still producing healthy vegetables for the Jefferson County Food Bank and the past few weeks dedicated volunteers have devoted most of their time to end of season tidying and it's looking good!
In addition to garden beautification the grounds have been given special attention too. Grange members have moved wood chips to form a berm around the perimeter of the parking lot. The plan is to plant into the berm in the spring.
