January 2017: Happy New Year, Donate Now, Old Time Jam, Square Dance, Fundraiser Contra Dance

There’s still time to support Quimper Grange in 2016!
(or you can make a donation at the fundraiser-for-the-floor contra dance on January 21st! Scroll down the page for details)

This year the Quimper Grange Food Bank Garden supplied nearly 2500 pounds of organic produce to hungry people in Jefferson County. As our mission suggests, we “fostered community connection and resilience” through maintaining our hall and sponsoring monthly contra and square dances, concerts featuring internationally known traditional artists, and old-time jam sessions for all skill levels. And we sponsored films highlighting the cooperative/solidarity economy.

What can we accomplish together in 2017?
We’d love your ideas and energy for programs or other events to build more community connection and resilience in the coming year.

Jenny will be start by teaching “John Browns” in A and has chosen to lead tunes in her two favorite keys: cross- A (AEAE tuning on the fiddle) and the key of C.
