September 6, 7:00 Quimper Grange Old Time Jam
David Margolin will be kicking off Quimper Grange jamming season on September 6 by serving up a variety of weird and quirky tunes in the keys of A modal and D. He'll start off by teaching "Sally Comin' through the Rye", an A modal tune he learned from Jimmy Tripplett.
If you have not participated in the jam before the focus of our jams is string band music, all of the tunes are selected by the person leading the jam and we usually play in two keys so the banjo players don't have to retune a bunch of times. Newcomers are welcome.
