Happy New Year!
Leaving 2021 behind, we wish to extend our utmost gratitude
and thanks to Sheila Long and George Yount for their outstanding
leadership through these tumultuous times. We're so happy to have them
continue to help guide our new Board in the coming year.
We started 2021 in lockdown - the Grange Hall closed up
tight for the first half of the year - and eased into reopening
with small vaccinated and masked groups.
Many people continue to inquire about renting the hall,
especially since it has an air filtration and recirculating system
funded by the Jefferson Community Foundation. Thank you!
As a result, our dear old hall has been getting a lot of use, from children’s acting groups to art classes to line dancers. Sadly though, the original wooden flooring (part of a WW II era barracks) is past refinishing, so we’re looking into options that can withstand the thunder of little feet or the
dancing of larger ones. We'll keep you posted on this goal for 2022.
Of course, none of this would be possible without you, our Grange members and friends. You attend meetings, dance in the Hall, volunteer on the property, and keep our grounds looking lovely. You are the reason that we can continue to do this.
