Sonnich Lydom & Kristian Bugge, “Rigspillemænd* of Denmark”
Two of Denmark’s leading folk musicians take you along on a tour around the music traditions of their home country!

Sonnich Lydom and Kristian Bugge will guarantee you an entertaining and varied journey through the traditions of Danish folk music. This lively group performs old dance tunes and songs from every corner of their Scandinavian home country. From rural islands like Læsø to the metropol Copenhagen, including a few of their own compositions. Expect everything from wild polkas and jigs to lyrical waltzes, fiery reels and happy hopsas,, plus the exotic “Sønderhoning” dance tunes from the famous Island of Fanø, and long forgotten songs from all over the country. An unforgettable live experience spiced up with humor and stories from their many years on the road. (*The title of Rigspillemændis a generally recognized badge of mastery for Swedish folk musicians. It is an honor bestowed upon bearers of the silver or gold Zorn Badge, awarded annually by the Zorn Jury, a panel of experts under the auspices of Svenska Folkdansringen.)

Food Bank Garden News
Hardy souls show up at the Quimper Grange Food Bank Garden throughout the winter. Our winter produce is performing beautifully, due to the hoop houses donated over the years, and some hearty overwintering vegetables planted last fall. Maintaining our commitment to supply the Food Bank with organically grown produce, we continue to serve the community every week. We are especially proud of our winter offerings this year, including: celeriac, turnip greens, carrots, pac choi, tatsoi, baby kale, arugula, herbs, kale, chard, salad mix and spinach. Come join the team and have more fun in a winter garden than you ever thought possible! Contact FoodBankGrowers@gmail.com to volunteer in this, or another of our 12 food bank gardens!
