Food Bank Garden News
Since Jan 2023, the Quimper Grange Food Bank Garden has donated almost 400 pounds of fresh, organically grown veggies to the PT & Tri-Areas Food Banks and the Recovery Cafe. Over 175 pounds of that was grown inside the three hoop houses which the Grange Garden is very fortunate to have. Fresh greens are still hard to find at the Food Banks, who express their appreciation to our sturdy Northwest growing team over and over! The produce grown at this garden is ALL due to membership, volunteerism and other support you give to the Quimper Grange.
Seed starting is going strong inside our “greenhouse”, but in mid-to-late April you can direct sow many veggies, including arugula, beets, carrots, Asian greens, brassicas, onions, swiss chard, and many more. Keep in mind that we’re at least a couple of weeks behind the spring warming trend, so later is likely better. Come join the grow team on Tues or Fri, 1:00-3:00 to have fun and share growing secrets. Building Rentals

Volunteering
Volunteers are always welcome at the Grange or the Garden. Year-long maintenance includes weeding and mulching, turning compost, tool repair, and other tasks. If you can share any time, please contact barbaratusting97@gmail.com.

As donations continue to arrive, improvements to the hall can continue. You can see the improvements just in the last few months thanks to donors (and members) like you.
